Chapter Four
Autumn Rainn Wilson is her name, and I am definitely in love.

When she told me her complete name, I told her that I had to meet her parents that day! She asked me "Why?" I said "For two reasons only; one, to congratulate them for making you, and two, to find out what kind of 'good' green they were smoking when they named you?"  She burst out laughing and told me I was too cute.  She remembered me from prison.  One weekend visitation her brother and I had together.  We were in the same dorm, and we used to play chess and spades together.  He was one of the coolest White boys I've ever met.  He wasn't a follower nor scary as hell like a lot of those other clowns that I was locked up with.  He introduced me to his family, and I did the same.  She was younger back then that's why I didn't remember her.  I remembered her name though "RAINN."  The fact that she prefers to go by her middle name gave us the first thing we had in common.  She said she remembered me because I was funny as hell and she thought I was probably the only Black guy her brother ever talked about that didn’t try to cross him.  I said “Oh, I thought you remembered me because I was so handsome.”  She giggled again.  I think to myself that I could really get lost in her smile and her eyes.  I actually tell her this, and I can’t believe that she’s single.  She replies “There’s not a lot of guys around and definitely not any good ones.”  I said “Please don’t tell me you have a partner or girlfriend.” She says “I have alot of girlfriends . . . but not like what you’re thinking; I have sorority sisters.  Otherwise, I’m strictly dickly.”

Now, it’s my turn to giggle; partly from relief. If she was into girls, then my work would’ve been cut out for me.  I’d be willing to put in the necessary work and overtime though.  From what I could tell so far, she was well worth it.  Relationship material is hard to catch nowadays.  Most just want to “hook up” for the night or weekend.  Everyone’s tough and independent in the 2000’s.  I pull out my phone and ask her for “just a minute” as I call B-Nasty.  He answers with a “Fool, where you at?  I’ve been here about ten minutes now.  We got shit to do.” I tell him “change of plans, we gotta hook up later on maybe.”  I briefly explain, and he gives me his “blessing.”  I respond with “Fuck you and Dick off.” I’m laughing the whole time though.  My dude is my dude.

I put my phone up and ask Rainn what her plans are?  She tells me that “whatever they were, they changed when I chased her down.”  I’m falling for her more and more.  I ask “my ride or yours?”

Is Key Community Management discriminatory?

Key Community Management Inc. web page pictured above asks if I am puzzled by the lack of communication and excessive fees?  YES, I am totally displeased with the lack of communication with Key Community Management community manager, Amy Kinney Walsh.

I have never spoken to Amy Kinney Walsh.  Amy Kinney Walsh has never returned my phone calls. Amy Kinney Walsh did not send me a "dated final notice" prior to having their attorneys file a lien against my property.  I even left her a voicemail in December/ January about how I was trying to stabilize my banking situation after being hit with a $44,000.00 levy.  Amy was a new liason for our community.  In my voicemail, I emphasized that I was a former officer of the HOA Board and that I was very informed of the history of our community.  Since I never received a return phone call, I thought that everything was in a pending state until I could get refocused on my HOA responsibilities.

In addition, I knew that Brian and Jamie Darche Warren (a White couple) had received a phone call on August 12, 2010 (pictured above) prior to the Legal lien on December 16, 2010 on their property at  13127 Rosedale Hill Ave. Surely, Key Community Management was going to extend me (a Black woman) the same courtesy of a phone call before submitting my file for formal legal action.

Yet, they did not.  I even asked the attorneys on March 13, 2017 to inform Key Community Management, Inc. that I was disappointed with the absence of a courtesy phone call because I had been waiting for a verification of debt letter.  I did not receive a verification of debt letter from the attorney office until March 11, 2017 despite both email and written requests being sent beginning February 27, 2017.  I had to mail off a return receipt letter around March 2, 2017 because I had not received an email response from the attorney's office.

I did not receive a Key Community Management response from my March 13, 2017 letter until the attorney emailed me on March 30, 2017.

I feel like a victim of discrimination surrounding my race by Key Community Management, Inc of Matthews, NC.  The all White member HOA Board lead by Jamie Darche Warren has had a history of excluding Blacks.  Brian and Jamie Darche Warren were also the couple that introduced and assisted Key Community Management to abruptly take over our Association account from a different management company about a decade ago.  Despite a foreclosure on one of the Association's properties, the Warrens continue to lead our community. Being White definitely comes with privileges in the case of our Association and the community management company, Key Community Management of Matthews, NC.

Character Review: Troy from Fences Movie

Troy
(Denzel Washington's character in "Fences" movie)

Perspective #1:

Troy didn't hold down the finances.  He would not even have had a roof over his head if not for siphoning off the bulk of his brother's disability settlement.   He manipulated the younger son's situation. He changed and limited the entire course of his son's life.  He required the son to work so he didn't have to support even his own basic needs anymore. He had children by three different women that he could not afford. He tasked Rose with the bill paying because he didn't want any extra adult responsibilities. Troy didn't want his brother committed to an institution because doing so would mean the brother's disability payouts would have gone to the institution, rather than to Troy's pockets. Troy would rather let his brother starve on the street than miss out on those payments.

Protecting his girlfriend as a youngster from being raped by his father likely had as much to do with his competitive relationship with his father than it did with the girl's plight.  It is not like he turned his father in.  He completely abandoned his oldest child letting him back in his life as an adult only at Rose's insistence and only to then berate him to the point where the grown child turned to crime. Then Troy guilt-tripped his wife- the one whose only meager request in life was to not have half and step children --into raising the illegitimate child he sired while married.

It is sickening to think the "Troy's" of the world continue to exist in this carnation, routinely using and ruining the lives around them to their own convenience, because some people prefer to dismiss it all as "nobody's perfect" and "men will be men."  There is a whole spectrum between "decent" human being and "perfect" and he and his kind don't even fall anywhere along it.

Perspective #2:

Troy held down his household. He could have gambled his brother's settlement away, but he didn't.  He was appreciative and put it to good use.  He always gave Rose most of his paycheck.  He bailed his brother out over and over again knowing the system was milking him.  He fought for a better job position even if he was not qualified.  He was committed to Rose and committed to providing a home to his "love child" despite the mistress's death from childbirth. He protected his girlfriend from being raped by his own father.  Troy also visited and fed his brother while he was in the hospital.  Troy had a good heart.  When the trumpet sounded at the end of the movie, we know that Troy entered into heaven.  He was not a perfect man with his indiscretions, but there was only one perfect man that ever walked this Earth. That perfect man was Jesus, and He died for our sins so that we may have a chance at eternal life.

Wrong Answer: Week Two Book Release

Chapter two:
Payday weekend has finally arrived, and I’m meeting up with B-nasty to spend some of my hard earned money. The agenda is new clothes, new shoes, and some female companionship for the whole weekend. Now, this plan calls for an ounce of "gas" and 100 "Molly's" which I am about to cop from Nasty.  I’m making sure this weekend is brought to its full potential.  Anything else would be uncivilized.  This is almost mandatory.  I work too hard all week assembling go carts not to fully enjoy the weekend.

I pull up next to B-nasty’s Mitsubishi Eclipse.  He gets out and jumps into my Mercury Cougar. He places pills in my center seat cushion and puts the ounce of gas under the seat.  I can see that the ounce is wrapped thoroughly many times over, but I can still smell it loud and clear.  I smelled it from the moment he sat in my passenger seat. I want to roll me a blunt so bad I can taste it!  I pay him his money and we both get out of my ride to go inside the mall.
Shopping for new outfits and kicks happens every 2 or 3 weeks.  I have to stay fly, and I’m sure B-nasty feels the same way.  The way we live, this comes with the territory.

The mall is packed as usual. There’s “beautiful” everywhere I look.  All these different flavors of females can make a brother’s head spin.  Even the “cougars” are dimepieces nowadays.  It’s hard to narrow down a selection.  But someone has to do it.  Might as well be me.  After all, ya can’t have a party without some bad bitches, right?

Chapter Three
We decide to split up and meet back in an hour.  We usually compete against each other to see who can get the most numbers.  Nasty has cheated before though.  Some of the numbers given to me were fake ones.  That’s happened once or twice.  Besides, today , I’m just not with it.  Through all the competition, it would be nice to meet just one chick who’s real and can keep up with a nigga like me.  I’m complicated, but at the same time, I’m not that hard to figure out.  Ya feel me?

I stroll into FootLocker.  I’ve had my eyes on a pair of of AirMax, and I’m buying them.  I’ve already got two outfits to match them. As I’m standing at the checkout counter,  I feel someone touch me on my right shoulder.  Thinking it’s Nasty, I turn around with a “gas faced, cross-eyed” look.  Even though my vision is a little distorted now from that pistol whipping that I received from my past "burglary went wrong" fiasco,  I can still tell that this person behind me isn’t  Nasty and they’re female.

As soon as I uncross my eyes, I’m staring into a pair of the prettiest grey eyes I’ve ever seen in my life.  The face is a definite match, but right now, it’s showing shock and amusement.  She’s trying to suppress her laughter.  She is a very sexy ass White girl, and I’m wondering if she’s confused, so I say “What’s up? My bad about that, I thought you were someone else.”  She giggles a little bit and says “I didn’t mean to catch you off guard.  Really, but isn’t your name Chris or Christopher?”  The only time I went by my middle name was when I was in prison and that was almost three years ago.  She immediately sees that I’m a little uncomfortable.  I ask her with all seriousness how she knows that name.  She turns serious and tells me “Look, I thought you were someone I met a few years back, but I’m obviously mistaken, there’s no way in hell YOU’RE HIM!”  Just like that she turns and starts walking off.  Three thoughts run across my mind as I watch her walk away.
1.       Did she just YELL at me?
2.       She has a very fat ass, for a snowbunny, and
3.       I think I’m in love!
I look around and note that everyone in FootLocker is staring at me.  I forgot all about my AirMax’s and I take off after her.  I cannot let her get away!

Wrong Answer: Week One Book Release

Prologue by Michael Christopher Blocker

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE; PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!"

These are the words I yell as I stare up into one of the largest holes in a gun barrel I've ever seen.  I think to myself that this is a black hole, and I'm about to be thrown into it. I have been caught by a guy that wasn't suppose to be home. According to my contact, everyone was suppose to be out of town. This house was ripe for the picking or at least, that's what I've been told.  Now, it seems as though I've been set up or all the details were wrong.  All I know is that I don't want to die.  I want to see tomorrow and the next day for that matter.  I have to think of something or someway to get out of this.  Looking into that black hole is the worst feeling in the world or that's what I thought until
I heard the hammer being pulled back . . . .

BOOK:  Wrong Answer
Written by Michael Christopher Blocker.

Edited by Benita Carol Blocker.

Chapter one:
Damn! My head is killing me. It’s 4 am. It's Friday. I could use a little more rest, but no, I still have to get up. I can't afford to be late again. It’s a 5am to 2pm mediocre job with little benefits, but great pay.  My workplace, Club Car is a big factory that makes go carts for country clubs all over the world.  If you watch the Masters Golf tournament every year, then you've seen a go-cart that I've had a hand in making. I'm assigned to work on the assembly line for right now, but I'm trying to move up to welding the frames and other metal work.  It's more pay, and I can use more money. I have my own apartment and car, even though neither is anything to brag about. Still it’s better than prison. Hell, anything is better than that six and half years in that cesspool called Georgia Department of Corrections that I had to serve for breaking into houses. It was the hardest time ever. It forced me to make some much needed changes in my life.

Most of my days are routine.   Get up, go to work, get off and get some sleep.  I’m always eager for the weekends.  They are my reward for a week of intense manual labor in a hot ass warehouse. Now, some of my weekends, I chill solo, but not this one, I have to get me some "feel good medicine." So I called up B-nasty.  B-nasty is my “dopeman” and my friend. I’ve known him all my life. We kinda came up together.  Even though our friendship is sometimes one-sided, I taught him everything he knows about drugs, and he taught me everything he knows about females.  That’s why he’s called B-nasty.  He’s a real freaky dude with the ladies.

I'm always reflecting on my life's journey. Before I served time, I used to be a hustler.  I had my hands into just about everything.  If it was quick money, then I was with it.  I enjoyed my playtime too. Nasty and I have had some great times with chicks in suites and jacuzzi’s.  Enough daydreaming, I've got to hit the shower, drink some coffee, and  hit the road. But first, let me turn the coffee machine on.

All Fingers Keep Pointing to the Sheriff Deputy D. Carr

The Officer referenced in this Facebook post (dated November 1, 2016) was Mecklenburg County, NC Sheriff Deputy D. Carr.  The actual conversation took place around October 25, 2016 shortly after Officer Carr informed me that the bank wire came in on Friday, October 21, 2016 around 3:30pm which was one hour after he left the office at 2:30 pm.  Unfortunately, he was not able to intercept the wire to reverse it back to my bank account.  Apparently, once it goes into the court account, then he can not undo the routing.

Unfortunately, I did not know that there was only a 50/50 to ZERO chance of me getting my money back.

As you can see by the prior Saturday, October 22, 2016 Facebook post, I had no doubt that Officer D. Carr was going to get my money reversed back into my account.  I had not obtained any legal advice because Officer D. Carr seemed like he was on my side, and I was unfamiliar with how a bank levy works.

Plus, my bank BB and T had started refunding and depositing all fees associated with the bank levy as pictured above.  So I was expecting Officer D. Carr to honor his word to me as well.

In retrospect, I do remember in August 2016, he was attempting to collect personal property, but I had filed my exemptions paperwork.

Then in September 2016, Officer D. Carr had been trying to find a car to repossess that I had turned in years ago.
After informing Officer Carr, I do not have a personal vehicle at this time.  He mentions that "some judge" will not let this go.  He was constantly reporting every collection attempt and every detail of my habitation.

So finally, the bank levy a.k.a. "Administrative Hold" freezes my commercial bank account on October 3, 2016.  The bank teller gives me a phone number to call during my phone call into the bank to find out why there was a hold on my account based on my online banking view.  The teller says that she did not know if the phone number was a bank employee phone number or not, but they should be able to explain the administrative hold.

I call the phone number, and it rings to none other than Officer D. Carr.  I ask Officer Carr "why is my bank account attached to his phone number?"  He seemed surprised by my question. Then Officer Carr mentions that "they" usually let him know when they issue a bank levy. I inform him that I need my account released immediately.  We hang up.  We talk the next day, and he is saying "they" will not release the hold.  He mentions that these bank levies are "scare tactics" and usually the money never leaves the account or it is reversed back. Officer Carr recommends waiting it out.  It should work out.

For more details on the twelve day bank account freeze, see:

Anyway, I file formal complaints with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (161010-000002)  and the National Credit Union Administration (00147109)  . I figured that this bank levy could not be legal.  For Christ's sake, this was an unpaid credit card debt not taxes.  What in the world???

I begin waiting this freeze and collection activity out as Officer D. Carr suggests.  Then finally, on Monday, October 24, 2016 - I go to my bank to see if they can call Officer D. Carr to see when is my money supposed to be returned back to me.  That bank visit did not go well. For more info you can read about it here:   http://applebaumparadigm.blogspot.com/2016/10/branch-banking-and-trust-company-bb.html

I leave Officer D. Carr about 20 voicemails trying to find out about my money on October 24, 2016.  (Feel free to pull all the phone records!)  Finally, I get a call around October 25, 2016 from Officer Carr about him being out of the office on October 24, 2017 and missing the October 21, 2016 money wire interception as I discussed earlier.

I have a attorney consultation later that week trying to make some sense of the "trainwreck" that just wiped out my bank account.  The attorney states that he could have been of assistance during the "ten day account freeze" but not after the money has been wiped out.  So Officer D. Carr did me NO FAVOR.

Also, I leave Sheriff Irwin Carmichael voicemails periodically for a week.  He kindly has his assistant to call me back.  I explain that I am looking for a Judge's name that may have been driving this aggressive collection action.

She arranges a possibly "wiretapped" conference call with Officer D. Carr.  The conference call consisted of three inbound calls from Officer D. Carr.  The first one was pure silence and the call ends in silence. (possibly adjusting wiretap) The second inbound call was the discussion and my attempt to pry a judge's name out of the conversation, but the phone went dead as soon as we got to the "judge" information.  The third inbound call came about 30 minutes later.   Officer Carr and his supervisor were more casual in conversation, and they informed me that none of their paperwork for anyone in the vehicle had a judge's name listed.  In addition, my paperwork was already sent back, and they had no information to give me.  The casual conversation included me answering whether or not I had a male friend with benefits or not?  Since my focus had been solely focused on obtaining a judge's name, I brushed off this "unrelated" casual conversation.

As you can see by this November 4, 2016 Facebook post, Officer D. Carr pointed me to the Plaintiff for more information regarding any names of any judges.

As of February 2017, I have now spoken with Coastal Federal Credit Union and its attorneys in depth, and both entities of Coastal Federal Credit Union seem to point me back to the fact that "the sheriff department stole your money."

On February 14, 2017, another representative from the Sheriff Department also confirmed that Officer D. Carr should have been the one initiating the bank levy.  So again, all fingers keep pointing to Officer D. Carr.

I left Officer D. Carr a detailed voice message on February 14, 2017.  He kindly returned my phone call on February 16, 2017.  Every question that I had for him was met with the answer of "I no longer have the paperwork so I can not accurately answer that question.

Clearly, Officer D. Carr is very good at extortion which is a part of his job but giving legal advice should have been illegal and out of his scope of work in my opinion.  I am seeking an attorney to help rectify my losses.  My original attorney recuse himself since he and Officer Carr were very good friends.  I need this situation corrected as soon as possible.

Is Coastal Federal Credit Union Really a Non-profit?

As of October 2016, I was STILL a MEMBER of Coastal Federal Credit Union.  My account was considered dormant when I called into customer service, but the representative still pulled my account number up as a member.

In February 2016, Coastal Federal Credit Union's attorney(s) offer a $11,345.62 setttlement.  Unfortunately, I was unable to accept nor counter the offer.

Then in October 2016, Coastal Federal Credit Union attorney's put a $44,296.01 bank levy/freeze on my commercial banking account with a different financial institution.  I begged C.E.O. Chuck Purvis via voicemail to have his attorneys to release the freeze.  He had Irene to call me and acknowledge receipt of my voicemail to him (Mr. Purvis.)  She states that Mr. Purvis' hands are tied, and that he can not assist me.  Irene tells me to work with the attorneys.  Our conversation was courteous and friendly; yet, it yielded no relief.

After the two week freeze was lifted from my commercial BANK account at an unrelated financial institution, all of my monies (around $2000.00) was transferred out of my account. I called and left Mr. Purvis another voicemail explaining my devastation, and the monies taken was already designated for other obligations.  I did not have extra monies to be "legally stolen" from me to apply to an old credit card balance.  I received no response from Mr. Purvis nor any of his representatives.

When you wake up to a negative $42,000.00 bank account balance, it is quite traumatizing.  It is legalized extortion and stealing in the state of North Carolina.

So why wasn't the bank levy for the settlement amount since Coastal Federal Credit Union is a "not for profit?"

Maybe the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) will look into my complaint number:  00147109 and review Coastal Federal Credit Union's aggressive collection tactics.  They have volumes of civil lawsuits against their members in the Mecklenburg County Court System.

My assumption is that Mr. Purvis who was named Businessman of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal in December 2016 is salaried in the six to seven figures.  Surely, he could lead a collection plate being passed around to replace my @$2000.00 that was stolen from me.

Mr. Chuck Purvis, I NEED MY money back or replaced. Period. As a " 2016 Businessman of the Year" surely you can find a way.  It will be a great opportunity for you to show how your "not for profit" truly cares about its members and the community.
