A Guide to The Homeless Experience

Charlotte, NC skyline

Seeing homelessness and experiencing homelessness are two different things.  It is ridiculous to work 70 and 80 hours a week trying to maintain housing that you work so much that you are not even able to appreciate it. As a result, more and more people are becoming transitional.

Things to know about sleeping on the street:

You will feel Restlessness.
1) Constant worry about safety affects sleep.
2) Constant change in weather alters body temperature and affects sleep.
3) Constant foul smells can affect sleep.
4) Sleeping sitting up (versus laying down) can affect sleep.

You will feel a challenge associated with Restroom Needs.
1) With or without a vehicle, finding a nearby public restroom in a hurry is a huge obstacle.
2) Food, liquids, fluctuations in body temperature can affect the body's urges for erratic restroom needs.
3) Disposable briefs become a good backup plan in case the  public restroom is too far.

Some Suggested Grooming Supplies for the Homeless
1) Cleansing wipes
2) Fresh clothes
3) Fitness Center membership for showers
4) Concentrated room sprays
5) Bladder Control Briefs (Disposable undergarments)

Be Mindful of your risk of Sexual Assault and/or Pregnancy
1) A homeless woman is probably at least 51% likely to be sexually assaulted or possibly abducted.

2) If the woman is still in childbearing age, then pregnancy is very likely.

3 ) Most advocacy agencies for homelessness ask if the female is pregnant in a condescending tone of voice which is a sign of ignorance. This ignorance is the basis of writing this article.

Extended Stay Hotels may be a solution for some people in transition.  One fee is all inclusive of utilities.
Some cooking layouts vary.

Coin operated laundry room.

Dishes and eating utensils are usually provided.

Cozy home-like feel.

Choose to sleep near 24/7 Locations for Parking and Public Restrooms (Between midnight and 6am - most businesses are closed. Restroom access is limited.)

Find areas where you have multiple businesses that are open 24/7 like

1) Drugstores
2) Fitness Centers
3) Laundromats
4) Hospitals
5) Superstores
6) Restaurants
7) Gas stations

Many people are feeling forced to live in a roommate situation because shelter has become expensive. One can only hope that everyone maintains their part of the bills.

May God Bless you.

Preparing for my Rideshare Rant Tour

As Comedienne B'exponential, I am focused on stage presence.
I am losing inches to prepare for my Rideshare Rant tour. Weekly, I publish videos on Instagram as #ridesharerant comedy.

My After pictures are on the left. My Before pictures are on the right.

Both pictures were taken in 2019. Same sweater, but less of me in the sweater. (10/29/2019 picture update)

My Slogan: Be Calm. Be Emotional. Be Enough. Be Exponential.

What healing meant for me

The woman on the right is the protector of the young lady on the left. Yes, both pictures are of myself (younger versus matured)

In 1991, because my rape and kidnap case did not go to trial, the toxic relationship that I found myself in got suppressed in a "confused" state.  My body continued to respond to the trauma that I endured in 1990 on three separate incidents to this day. My assailant probably never really had any thoughts about the compounding damage that he inflicted. Every individual responds differently to traumatic circumstances. Society views were still conservative in 1991.

Fast forward to 2019, thank God they got rid of the rape support groups. Support was the last thing that support groups felt like. Yes to modern day counseling. I was in disbelief that counseling would help me, but it did. My counselor helped me to dissect all my confusion by walking through all three sexual assaults by my assailant. I filed the report in 1990 for second degree rape which was the third assault. I filed a second report in 2019 for the first sexual assault. It became very important to fight for justice for myself and let my story be known in the interest of public safety.  I was cautioned numerous times that my assailant may threaten my life. These messages clearly let me know that my assailant should serve prison time for the damage that he caused me.

My assailant compromised my relationship with my parents. My assailant compromised my opportunity to start my own family. I also have reason to believe that my assailant interfered with my April 2019 attempt to get my extended family released from false imprisonment.

I am one of the "skeletons" that creeped out of my assailant's closet. You can expunge records, but it is another story to expunge the victims.

He can thank the corruption in Georgia for awakening my quest for justice. I can thank the corruption in Georgia for helping me to heal by dealing with my past.

#Round2mark3 was not fought in a courtroom. It was fought in public so that the record can not be expunged this time.

I claim the victory because my truth is my identity, and I don't have to be silent anymore.

As for his family, they know him best. Even serial killers have some boundaries from what I've researched. My assailant may be a perfect father and an awesome spouse, but he was a traumatic experience for me.

I still don't trust my safety, but I don't regret my journey. I trust in God's Master Plan. Peace.

Comedy Comeback: Comedienne B'exponential

I've lived a little now, and I have plenty to say.  I have not received any corporate interviews. I will be paid what I am worth. So comedy is now my full time focus!  My slogan is Be Calm, Be Emotional, Be Enough, Be exponential!

Every Monday will be my Rideshare Rant on IGTV or Instagram depending on the length of my rant.

9/25/2019 Update: Twitter wants me to delete the tweet below because they say it promotes suicide. Someone is intimidated by my power.  I will not give up my freedom of speech.

Applebaum Advocacy Work

Although, I'm not wearing my cosmetic makeup, I was happy and radiant to see that the attorney that I took to small claims court is disbarred. Society can rest easier that there is one less crooked attorney out there.

On that note,  I have picked up more prisoner advocacy requests. For $20 to my cash app $benitablocker I can review post- conviction cases. Because I am not an attorney, I can not advise, but I can review circumstances surrounding post-conviction.

Please include inmate name, prison ID number attached to cashApp transaction to avoid any mix-ups.

Best wishes.

Justice System: The name is the game changer.

So I released my detailed account of my rape and kidnapping in November 2018. Unfortunately, what I learned is that Rape happens quite often.  There is a "rape culture' that exists. A "groping culture" also exists. I was quite saddened to hear this. Violent acts against women affect every woman differently. For me, my toxic relationship with Mark Lee Murray III became an ultimate tragedy that redirected my entire life's journey.

I was forced to release my assailant's name in December 2018.  The world stopped in silence, and it cleared a path for me to walk through. I have no regrets. It was necessary. Clearly, a prominent name is a gamechanger.

In June 2019, I asked Buncombe County District Attorney Todd Williams to file kidnapping charges against my assailant. Of course, my name is not prominent enough to get any prompt attention, but this week, progress was made.

My 1990 case is still visible in the system. When asked why didn't I file kidnapping charges in 1990? My response was that my story has not changed. I was pinned up in Mark's car for an hour against my will in a secluded area. It sounds like kidnapping to me. No further questions were asked.

I have secured advocacy in Asheville, NC.

The hashtag for my pending victory over my assailant is #round2mark3

My life has been hell with the post traumatic stress spilling into every aspect of my relationships including family.  I'm ready for due process. It is decades overdue, and God's timing.

White Supremacy is Positioning to Rule the Nation AGAIN

Are the scales balancing?

Benita Blocker, Visionary

Initially, I was going to write about the prison system, and then God revealed to me a stronger revelation.  These times (2019) are bigger than the prison system.  The "Klan," the "Invisible Empire," The "Organization," the System of White Supremacy is in its final stages of takeover.  The key points of enslavement was and still are lack of land, lack of education, families broken apart, and total control.

Land
Slaves never did get their 40 acres and a mule.  Upon being freed from slavery, everyone had to have some land to build or people had to rent living space on someone else's land.  Well, homeownership and rental rates through the 1990's were reasonable.  Now, in 2019, Black landowners are selling their property for six figures or less, and multi-million dollar complexes are being built in their place.  Blacks who are trying to maintain ownership of their land that may be paid in full are finding that the tax value is becoming too high to pay annually.  Owning land and retaining land is becoming out of reach.  Working two full time jobs in order to maintain a roof over one's head will lead to an early death.

Education
When some public school systems took cursive writing and/or grammar out of the curriculum, it began to add to illiteracy. Some youth can not read nor write in curvise. The cost to achieve a college degree in 2019 is the cost of a house without a guarantee of a job to repay it. Many jobs are not even requiring more than a high school diploma, and the likelihood of future promotion will be limited without a college degree.

In addition, some youth are dropping out of school to help contribute the household expenses.  Unfortunately, contributing to the household may lead to falling for "fast money" methods.

Gangs
Because I have not been in a gang, I don't understand everything about it.  However, drug trafficking and illegal activity is often associated with gang membership.  "Fast money" is often associated with illegal activity. Fast money activities often make for repeat business for attorneys which lead to promotions to district attorney, judges, and positions in politics.

Street value versus Prison value
Drugs and illegal contraband are often sold at possibly ten times higher price inside a prison.  So from a business perspective, more money is made off the sales inside the prison which means suppliers benefit from prison life. Judges, prison investors, prison vendors, lawyers, prison construction contracts, etc. all benefit from prison life.

Prison Life
Prison life is essentially "old fashioned" slavery.  If someone is well connected with law enforcement, they just need a few people to bear false witness, and anyone can end up sentenced to prison over some phony charges. Excessive sentencing and stacking charges are additional methods to insure more money is added to "prison investor" pockets.  Similar to slavery days, if one member of a family gets snatched then often they grab the whole family when the family comes looking for the family member.  This is the same philosophy with the prisons now.  Clothing, personal hygiene, communication and meals are not necessarily free.  Families often have to supplement their incarcerated loved ones for food packages, clothing packages, communication fees, etc. through approved prison vendors. Prison vendors have a steady revenue flow.  Most families have to deal with at least three different prison vendors to look out for their incarcerated loved one. If the family can not afford to look out for their loved one, the prison can provide necessities at a price that goes on the prison books as an outstanding debt.  So by the time, a prisoner is released, they will more than likely have a prison bill to pay in addition to finding a job with a prison record.

White Supremacy
If you followed my train of thought thus far, then you see that our land ownership options are declining, our Education system is failing, and more prisons are constantly being built.  Financially, only the "White Supremacist" will control everything if these chain of events continue. People who do have jobs and careers are still at the mercy of their employer.  Employment limits your freedom of speech, etc.  I am not against employment, but never lose sight of the enemy.  The "Invisible Empire" is now visible based on the new laws taking away human rights, scandals on Capitol Hill, police brutality, and cover-ups.

Solutions?
Entrepreneurship, Block/Land ownership, United efforts, Don't be the "Uncle Tom," start giving a hand up. Start treating humans like they are human.  Jesus did not require us to EARN everlasting life - it was a GIFT.  Pay it forward.

J. Randal Hall acknowledges Brian K. Epps' "clerical" Error

According to 1:19cv036 J.Randal Hall acknowledges the "clerical" error made in a date in Brian K. Epps report; yet, J. Randal Hall fails to acknowledge that 10-cv-2368 was the first "2254 Habeas" filed in 2010/2011 in Lowndes County.

There are full hearing transcripts on this case/file.

Michael Christopher Blocker never received 2008 trial transcripts although he repeatedly submitted written requests for them.  His public defender Hugh Hadden showed up to this hearing with no trial transcripts either.  The Georgia State Bar Grievance Counsel Ms. Nash dismissed Mr. Blocker's grievance surrounding Hugh Hadden.  She says that "attorneys don't have to be effective nor have a strategy." (paraphrasing here)

Even the Georgia Supreme Court recognizes Lower Court Case no. 10cv2368

The 2010 (10cv2368) hearing transcript is very damaging to the State of Georgia.  Georgia Attorney General Christopher Carr is supposed to make decisions to save Georgia from paying out restitution.  Assisting J. Randal Hall and Brian K. Epps in trying to keep the blatant scandal BURIED outside of Richmond County, Georgia should violate the Georgia RICO laws themselves.  What a racket?!!!

#exonerateMichael campaign started in 2015 and is still fighting the good fight in 2019.  This case is Augusta, Georgia based. (Southern District of Georgia)

A Travel Blogger Look at Hilton Hotels

Hilton Hotel window views can range from sophisticated  . . .

to tranquil

to amazing sunrises.

Elevators floors can be entered on the keypad and an elevator is assigned to take you to your floor.

Some elevators have detailed lighting in them.

Nightstands work as a charging station.

Whirlpool bathtub is an extra amenity available at some locations.

Safety bars are typically included with bathtubs.

Some Hilton hotels have "Bose" sound System.

Along with a television built into the vanity mirror.

I loved having built-in shelving in the bathroom as well.

Some of the desks can service as reception for a home office.

Mirror details vary.

Closet and Artwork often work in harmony.

The headrest and pillow talk make for some great beauty rest.

Headrests and pillow talk never gets old.

Some Hilton hotels offer some towel art as well.

Attention to towel details makes guests feel special.

Some rooms offer kitchenettes.

Even the lobby areas have holders that clearly designates the contents of the plasticware.

I captured this Hilton hotel while traveling to Frankfurt, Germany.

Hilton hotels captured in this article include: Hilton, Hampton Inn (and Suites) by Hilton, Home2 by Hilton, and Hilton Garden Inn.  I am a travel blogger and a Hilton Honors Diamond member.

I love my Hilton hotel stays.

CharMeck Sheriff Deputy Carr and Supervisor Funderburk

Deputy Carr  Deputy  and  Supervisor Funderburk

Under Sheriff Carmichael administration, I had multiple complaints surrounding Deputy Carr and his Supervisor Funderburk.  Those complaints may have gotten LOST and/or just not forwarded to the new 2019 Sheriff administration, so I want to have a public record of my grievances dating between 2016 and 2018.

In 2016, Deputy Carr casually mentioned that "this Judge would not let this go."  By October 2016, Deputy Carr had stolen all my bill money out my bank account with a $44,000.00 levy.  Another private attorney told me during this time, "it DOES NOT make sense to take all your money from your current obligations to pay back a ten year old past obligation."

Deputy Carr  promised that the money would be returned which I later found out that he had no authority nor control over the return of my bill money. SO he lied repeatedly.

Because the sheriff administration under Carmichael had no way to file complaints against the deputies, I had to go above and beyond to get that deficiency changed.

Funderburk and Carr both were instructed to call me and answer my questions about the monies that they had stolen from my bank account.

During the first phone call, as soon as Deputy Carr was about to answer my question about whether or not a judge in Georgia ordered the levy, the phone went DEAD.  Then both Funderburk and Carr called immediately back.  The first call was secretly being recorded based on the clicking noises and some other logistics that I picked up on.  The second call was less formal and their conversation had become quite casual.  I guess the two wanted to have some fun with me.  So Deputy Carr asked me about did I have a friend, then he corrected himself to specifically ask me about a "friend with benefits."  Funderburk did not engage in the conversation, but he condoned it.  Considering Deputy Carr had already suggested that we meet up for a drink on a previous occasion earlier in 2016 (prior to any Georgia drama), I never expected him to rob my bank account and inquire if I had a "friend with benefits."

Nor did I expect Carr's advice to me to "get a loan" to replace the money that he had stolen from me.

So by 2017 when I ran into Deputy Carr and he felt the need to tell me how "highly favored" he was and still working for Char Meck Sheriff department, I was highly irritated.  I filed another complaint with the Sheriff department.  Because I had previously filed a complaint against Funderburk for allowing Carr to ask me inappropriate questions while they were both on the phone. I didn't expect to hear from Funderburk again.  Yet, he called me trying to intimidate me.  He called himself following up on the 2017 complaint against Deputy Carr.  Funderburk also told me that "I need to get over them stealing all my money out of my bank account."  The phone call ended with me calling the Captain because both Carr and Funderburk both were insensitive, disrespectful, and just outright unethical.

Charlotte Mecklenburg County deserves better than Carr and Funderburk.  I am not exaggerating.  There are a few other instances that I omitted in this article, but trust and believe, I have thought long and hard whether I should publicly address the duress that I have endured from these so called public servants.  I have concluded that my voice matters and the PUBLIC deserves better than these two individuals.

Southern District of Georgia: Augusta Strange Prosecutions

Stand with this Veteran (Alleged Whistleblower) sentenced in Augusta, GA

Alleged whistleblower real name is Reality Winner.  She was Allegedly the source of this June 2017 "The Intercept" article pictured above. Her sentence- the longest ever handed down for an "unauthorized disclosure to the media" was to make an example of her like all the other strange prosecutions in Augusta, GA according to the leaders of the #freeRealityWinner campaign.

As Harper's magazine referenced a "usual pattern" in Augusta, GA at the beginning of election years.  Like in the 2004 Election year when (now Judge) Lisa Godbey Wood strangely prosecuted Senator Walker.

In 2005, Sports Illustrated then highlighted a 30 year sentencing of James (Jimmy) Lee Davis in Augusta, GA prosecuted by (now Judge) Daniel J. Craig in a 2002 trial. This was another strange prosecution in the Southern District of Georgia. (Not necessarily an election year but definitely motivated by the major golf tournament held there.)

In  Election year 2008, Michael C. Blocker had his "Trial by jury" stolen from him on the third day of trial (January 16, 2008) for a crime that he did not commit by District Attorney Daniel J. Craig.   Then Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Daniel J. Craig judge two days later (January 18, 2008).  Judge Craig has been running uncontested in elections since then.

Former Governor Sonny Perdue is now under Trump's administration.

I have been trying to get Michael C. Blocker released from false imprisonment since 2015 using the #exonerateMichael campaign.

One of my #exonerateMichael followers sent me this statement above referencing Judge Craig as a Nazi.

Federal Judge J. Randal Hall and Brian K. Epps has repeatedly ignored our #exonerateMichael requests for release.  Hall has repeatedly protected Judge Daniel J. Craig.  Lisa Godbey Wood referenced from Harper Magazine article earlier is on the same bench as J. Randal Hall.

Trump, Perdue, Craig, Hall, Epps, Wood are all clearly connected.  As of March 2019, Michael C. Blocker filed a complaint for Civil Rights Violation in the Augusta Division because the violation happened there.  We are praying that the Southern District of Georgia recuse itself from the process.  We also pray that all the unjust sentencing in Augusta, GA ends. In addition,
