Winning at Weight Loss!

Drumroll Please.

I am back at my August 2012 weight.  Yayyyy!!!!  No more seatbelt extension for airplane travel.  I was about one inch away from buckling the regular seatbelt back in January 2015 for my California trip.  It was the first time that I ever had to ask for a seatbelt extension on a plane.  What a rude awakening to the fact that I had gained weight!

So I joined an HerbaLife two week weight loss challenge.  What a rough two weeks!  After HerbaLife shots, shakes, teas, over 10 hours of walking, lots of water, diet restrictions of pork and beef, and consuming a lot of Green Giant Steamers,  I WON the challenge!!!!

Five pounds lost.  Second place was 4.8 pounds lost.  Soooo Close!!!

Thank you Green Giant!  Many of their "Steamers" are Weight Watchers endorsed.  They taste great, and they curve my hunger.

So HerbaLife and Green Giant Steamers are helping me to win at weight loss!!!!!

On a separate note, I have worked with personal trainers over a 20 year period.  I have participated in LA Weight Loss and Weight Watchers programs over a 20 year period.  I have experienced 10 pounds a month weight loss before.  So I am not new to weight loss nor weight gain, but because I am barely 5'3" with a short torso, people are going to see my body change with every pound up or down.  I am especially proud that People magazine put a size 22 plus size model on their  June 1, 2015 edition.  Tess Holliday is 5'5" and 280 pounds according to the article.  She is also age 29 with gorgeous hair and shape.

Plus size is finally getting some respect that is long overdue. I am happy to have experience being plus size because I got to see how invisible one can be in the real world.  I got to see the rudeness.  I got to see the disrespect.  It has been eye-opening, but in a world with so much unrest, fast mobility is going to be important as  the world continues to be at war.  I want to be ready to survive, and less weight will be faster speed.  Thanks for checking out my journey.

Bill Cosby- Public Character Assassination

No arrests, but Bill Cosby was the cover story for People magazine and Us Weekly magazine for December 2014.

Now suppose that Bill Cosby "did have a habitual problem" of sexual assualt, the keyword being "did" is past tense.  What good would it do to admit it now?  The "slave masters" for decades were sexually assaulting Black female slaves.   Sexual assault is wrong and emotionally traumatizing for the victim; however, 2004 seems to be the last incident that Cosby is accused of committing an indecent act according to  People magazine December 8, 2014 edition.

With that said, would I recommend a woman to be cautious if they found themselves in an one on one setting with Cosby, then yes, caution would be a great idea.  However, any man, whether doctor, minister, coach, etc. who schedules a one on one has to understand that they open themselves up for sexually assault allegations, and the female in the one on one setting is putting herself at risk for sexual assault.

Alleged victims seem to be coming forward so that people will know that Cosby's "lovable father" figure has been a facade.  Many abusers are in positions where people want to trust them.  Abusers take advantage of this trust.

I, personally, do not care if he is guilty of decades of violating women as long as he is recovered from whatever sickness that caused it.  In 1997, he and his wife endured the painful death of their son Ennis.  Some may say that maybe this untimely death was God's intervention for righting some of the alleged wrongs.  If people want Cosby to feel pain.  I think that he has.  The incredible press coverage highlighting 20 women coming forward has to be painful.

Cosby has talent.  I hope that he can use those talents in the future to make people laugh.  If he needs counselling then I hope that he gets counselling.  I have not read of any alleged assaults outside of ten years ago, so maybe we should all just let "the past" go.  We all have sinned.  Forgiving is key.

The West's: People Magazine's Blurry Wedding Photos!

The June 9, 2014 issue of People Magazine showcased "Blurry" Wedding photos of Kanye and Kim Kardashian West.  My first impression was "a new low in journalism."  I was in shocked at the lack of picture quality.
The funny thing -is that the picture of the picture seems to be less blurry than the actual published picture. My camera seemed to correct the fuzziness of the published pictures.  Amazing.

On a more positive note, I really think that Kanye West treasures Kim and North judging from all the online photos floating out there.  I think that they are going stay married until death parts them.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. West!
