Review: Suja 1-day Renewal Juice Cleanse

The Suja 1-day Renewal Juice Cleanse consists of three juices.

Step 1: Daybreak Probiotic juice - you can taste the Cayenne pepper, but overall tasty.  I could not drink it fast because of the "kick" to it.

Step 2: Noon Greens juice - It has 5 different greens in it. (celery, cucumber, kale, collard greens, and spinach)  I could not drink it fast because it tasted like "sweet" grass.

Step 3: Twilight Protein juice - Apple and bananas dominated the taste.  This smoothie was the thickest of the three juices and the one with the highest calories.

All the juices were tolerable as far as taste for me. Trust me, I have tasted worst juices. If they were awful, then I would trash them before I would consume them.  However, because the juices are unique blends, I recommend planning ahead in order to consume them slowly.

On a separate note, I did not notice any excessive bathroom/restroom visits. Reasonable regularity were the results for me.  The price was around $3.00 per bottle at Harris Teeter. I would pick up the Noon Greens again if I want a boost in vegetable intake.  I would also pick up the Twilight Protein drink to consume at any time of the day.  At 250 calories in one bottle, it's a meal replacement option.

The Suja 1-day Renewal Juice cleanse process is a great way to jumpstart the metabolism when you get in a rut. Overall, I enjoyed the three step process.  I would do it again if I want a change of pace.

Blessed are the Homeless For They are Free

The first time that I saw a homeless man was in Grand Central Station in New York City, NY.  The gentleman was passed out on the stairway.  People were walking right by him getting on and off the trains.  In my mind,  I saw a man in need of help.  My first instinct was natural.  I was "concerned" for another human being.  I wondered if this man was dead or alive.  There were no mobile phones back then. I appeared to be the only one making such a fuss about a man being passed out.  Then a kind stranger said to me that the man was probably homeless and sleeping, and that it would be safer to leave him alone. I took this stranger's advice.  From that point on, I learned to ignore the homeless population.  It was the safe thing to do.

Now, twenty years later, I, like many of you, have also ignored the prison system because I felt only bad people were trapped in it.  It was the safe thing to do.

Now, it is the time of awakening.
Ignoring mass incarceration is no longer the safe thing to do.

People are being railroaded into mass incarceration for crimes that they did not commit on a regular basis regardless of educational background. The traps are constantly being reset.  Now, I have a cousin trapped in the system with a life sentence for crime(s) that he did not commit.  I am being told that it happens all the time.  How can modern day slavery be commonplace in 2016?  How can people turn a deaf ear to allow this injustice to continue?  Surely, people must see that this "organized criminal injustice system" becomes stronger every single time someone gets railroaded without any contest.  The court systems are out of control in towns such as Augusta, Georgia, USA with erroneous arrest dates on file, missing trial transcripts, and other corrupt malpractices.

Mass incarceration makes homelessness look like a "walk in the park" for at least, the homeless are
FREE.

Recyclables: Bagging your Bottles!

We all have seen our fair share of water bottles, grocery bags, and other recyclables.

With the climate change and global warming, strong winds and strange weather are no longer a surprise. So just in case the recyclable roll away gets turned over from the weather, I suggest using as many recyclable bags as possible to prevent hundreds of water bottles, magazines, detergent dispensers, etc. from blowing in the wind.

A grocery bag tied up is ideal to keep the recyclables neat and under control until pickup day. It is all about "saving our planet" and "going green."
