Poem: No Place Like Home

Photography by Benita Blocker

Home is a soft bed,
A tender touch,
Not a sound,
Just love all around.

Peace and quiet,
Special occasions,
Lots of good food,
Warm welcomes
and a willingness to make room.

Safe, secure, simply,
no place like
Home.

  1. Reflecting back on this picture, I realize that one dog was eaten by a coyote and the other dog has a new owner. Time changes so much. Cherish the moments for they don't last forever on this Earth.
