The poem was recognized and awarded.

Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry!

It was a chilling poem in 2003, and it is still a chilling poem today.

Real Fingernails: Less housework yields longer Nails

I fractured my humerus in my right arm.  The injured arm has been disabled allowing my real fingernails on that hand to reach unprecedented lengths.  My thumb has never grown out this long.  Everyone is noticing.

Real fingernails . . . cannot buy these!

I will try to capture another image within another week or two to show even longer length.  Consider this: May be an incentive to pay someone else to complete housework so that the lady of the house spends less on nail enhancements.

Started using OPI nail strengthener to keep them from breaking.

Real fingernails; real proud!
